Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick 'Soft Coral'

As you may have realised, I'm a big lipstick junkie. I don't have the money to buy MAC and YSL all the time, but I am happy with drugstore lipsticks and as I was on the lookout for a coral colour, I was so pleased when I saw this by Rimmel. The colour is 'Soft Coral' and the number is 600. It is a moisture renew lipstick which I haven't tried before, so I thought I'd give it a go. It's £6.29 and no one can complain about it being expensive. It's really worth the pounds for the product you're paying for. It comes in a bright, glossy purple plastic tube which I'm sure you're all familiar with. It's light and is overall fun!

The colour is coral with a soft pink undertone, which I think is great as the name isn't lying. It has tiny silver reflects in it which gives it a bit of a shimmer too. It feels a bit gritty actually because of the tiny glitter particles but they go once on. Soft Coral has a slight watery texture which allows smooth application and it applies glossy.

Positives- Very easy to apply and is moisturising indeed, lasts long

Negatives- Colour fades easily- could maybe to with a base?

Overall, I love this lipstick and use it most days. I would definitely repurchase it as the colour works all day. What other coral lipsticks have you tired and liked?

MUA Haul and Review

I am off College today so I thought I would post a very out of date MUA haul. 'There's no getting away from the fact this is the best priced cosmetics collection available in the country'. MUA is famous with UK bloggers for its £1 prices so I thought I would dive in and tell you all. The packaging is rather plain, but who’s complaining at £1? At least it’s not tacky right? Plus I have decided to cut down on the amount I write for reviews as I personally hate coming across huge paragraphs and would rather points! All of these products were £1.

I bought two eyeliners (shades 6&7).

Positives- Cheap, well pigmented

Negatives- starts to flake after an hour, takes 2-3 minutes to dry, applicator and product thickness means application can be difficult/ uneven.

Bronzer Shade 1 – Lightest shade

Positives- Very sparkly!

Negatives- Quite a gritty texture, more bronze than gold. Glitter leaves your cheeks very quickly!

Positives- Perfect for my skin tone (fair to medium), gave a natural flushed look.

Negatives- N/A

Lipstick Shade 3- does tend to bleed and is very pink!

Remind me of e.l.f essential lipsticks.

Positives- Easy to apply, pigment noticeable, look more expensive, moisterising.

Negatives- Need to top up often as it does transfer.

Valentines Day Summary and Lush Gift Set Review

Hello my gorgeous followers! I just wanted to share with you a quick post about my Valentines day (if you're interested). This is a picture of my boyfriend, Grant and I. His shirt is from Superdry and my dress was a handpicked Christmas present from him, from Lipsy- I'm so lucky! We went to ASK in town and had a lovely meal, unfortunately we only had two hours or so together because my man had work in the morning, but it was still amazing!

I woke up on Tuesday and found that a huge box had been delivered for me! Turns out I had received my first sent flowers to the door- half a dozen pink (my favorite colour) roses! So here they are on my desk!

Also, before we went out, he gave me another present! A Lush Valentines Gift set which I have been going on about because I just think they are so adorable and the packaging is to die for!

So the box contains four items from Lush-

1. It's Raining Men- Shower and hair gel.
This is my new favorite sent from Lush. The gel is thick and honey scented, it feels luxurious and a little always goes a long way from these bottles! Can't get enough of this scent!

2. Soft Coeur Massage Bar
This massage bar smells identical too Honey I Washed The Kids, which I love, so if you're like me, I urge you to buy this! It's quite pricey but the smell is to die for! It smells like honey and toffee covered caramel candies with chocolates in the middle. So YUMMY! The only thing is, this massage bar seems to take so much longer to warm up and use.

 3. Sweetheart Soap
This limited edition soap is definitely not too miss! It's very creamy and feels gorgeous on the skin. It also leaves a long lasting scent, which I think is important. It is “a sensual blend of jasmine, mandarin and vanilla to gently inflame the passions and get things moving in the right direction.” – very suitable for Valentines Day or any romantic night!

4. Silky Underwear Dusting Powder
This is like a perfume that leaves you sparkling and silky! Grated cocoa butter melts onto the skin for a silky sensation and the powders don't make your skin feel greasy. The scent is jasmine and vetiver. The name is perfect for the smell, it's very sensual and seductive- perfect for a night in with the other half!

Review- My Mini Boots Haul

So I went too Boots yesterday and picked up a few bits! Here's what I thought- (sorry of the lack of photos from the nail varnish!)

Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate Lipstick -01

Boots- £5.49

This colour is matte Hollywood red and it Kate’s signature lipstick, and it’s also the one she chose to wear to ‘Rimmel London Party’, where she presented her new collection to the public. I must say I'm impressed with this shade - it's so pigmented and the staying power is incredible!

Overall- 5/5- It does dry your lips out a bit but not enough to take off a mark!

Barry M’s Lash Modelling Mascara’

Boots- £6.19

Launched in November of this year, ‘Barry M’s Lash Modelling Mascara’. Now I’ve never bought any mascara from Barry M, thought I’d try it! The thin plastic bristle mascara brush, it comes in a purple tube with a click shut lid and promises length, separation and a ‘natural curl’. My lashes are naturally long and thick (I know, I’m lucky). So bear in mind with the pictures. The brush is quite harsh on the eye if you use it too forcefully, so be careful... I think honestly, for this mascara, it should be used as a base coat to separate and help prime the lashes for different mascara (or the other way round) - for this is works brilliantly. I think it’s a bit too costly for what I’m buying, but would buy again!

Overall- 4/5- A great buy for my own person lashes, if it was £5, I would give it a five!

Barry M Foil Instant Nail Effects -321

Boots- £3.99

We all know how popular minx has become and I’ve been wanting to try this for a long time! It’s packed with tiny glitters giving it a light catching shimmer, and the finishing product is more antique gold, but I like it. It’s not exactly foil, but does mimic foil at a distance.

Overall- 4.5/5- As always, a good price from Barry M! Not exactly done a good job promising ‘foil’ but I love it anyway!

Barry M Silver Glitter- 148

Also, because I spent over £6 in Barry M, I received a free Limited Edition nail varnish, retailing at £3.99! Bargain! I love the holographic cap, but only one coat does not do the polish any justice...! But with two coats, it’s very eye-catching and definitely puts you in a Christmas mood!

Overall- 4.5/5- I always love there nail varnishes (don’t we all) but I’ve taken away .5 because of the hastle of the two coats!

Review- Basil Street, Nails Inc

I already own too many nail polishes but this one was free with Glamours December 2011 edition (which is £2!), so it's ok, seeing as this bottle retails at £11! Basil Street is situated in the heart of London (Kensington) and contains the most amazing chic town houses!

I've been looking for another nude for a while, and this is the best nude nail polish I have ever found. It's glossy on it's own, though I always use top coats! Nothing really compared to this shade. I know most people think they can't pull off nudes or think that it looks to basic, but I think nudes are clean, chic and timeless.

The colour goes with anything and is a light old lady mauve on me with an opaque creme finish, perfect for the office! Nails Inc. varnishes are a dream to apply, do not go 'gloopy' and, provided you apply the base and top coat, lasts for AGES. The formular is nice- self leveling and quick to dry. The fat round cap was not too bad, as it was good for spacing my still-wet fingernails when I painted.
